(More customer reviews)Well, they're the same brushes as the ones that came with my Hoover V2, except they're brand new as opposed to really dirty and worn out (my old brushes). Replacement's very easy - just pull out the old, insert the new. Voila!
Although, I think I'll take this opportunity to alert some folks as to what seems to be a popular misconception with the Hoover V2 and like machines made by competitors like Bissel: THESE ARE NOT STEAM CLEANERS!! They are carpet shampooers. No "steam" is involved. They work by spritzing the surface of your carpet with hot water (if you used hot water to fill the reservoir) and carpet shampoo, using the brush assembly to agitate the carpet surface and loosen up dirt and grime, and then applying a strong wet/dry vacuum (suction) to the surface to remove the loose dirt with the cleaning solution. Since the Hoover V2 uses separate shampoo and water tanks, it offers the ability to alternate rinse cycles (water only) with wash cycles (water and shampoo). This has the added advantage of rinsing the carpet of excess shampoo, which, if it remains in the carpet, will actually "collect" dirt and make your carpet look dingier than it might have otherwise a few months after the cleaning.
